2025 District Attorney Selection

The Alameda County Board of Supervisors have been tasked with selecting a new interim DA following the recall of former DA Pamela Price, who was elected in 2022. After a public call for applications to fill the vacancy, on January 8th, fifteen eligible candidate applications were publicly posted on acgov.org.

Virtual Candidate Forum

On January 16th, the Board selected Ursula Jones Dickson, Venus Johnson, Annie Esposito, Latricia Louis, Yibin Shen, Elgin Lowe, and Jimmie Wilson to move onto the interview round. Although the Board conducted public interviews of selected candidates at a Special Meeting, the ACDA Accountability Table’s virtual candidate forum on January 23rd gave the public another opportunity to learn about each candidate’s approaches to issues such as: police misconduct, immigration, conviction integrity, data transparency, and more. Attendees included: Venus Johnson, Latricia Louis, and Yibin Shen.
